Access Control Systems

Integrating card access into a security system is an effective means to secure a commercial business or facility.

Brivo Access Control Special

By installing a card access or access control system in your building it allows you to restrict the access of employees, staff and other visitors to the building as well as secure areas within the building. Whether it is a keypad, card or biometric reader an access control system is an effective means of securing your building from potential threats.

Access Security designs each access control system with our 35 years of experience while ensuring that the customer's needs and budget are met. By installing an access control system you are protecting your business's property, personnel and visitors by monitoring the access of individuals into any department or portion of a facility. Having a system designed, installed and serviced by Access Security ensures complete control over any building. Access Security also provides you with the proper physical locking devices due to our 38 year history of installing and servicing electric locks and door hardware.

Access Security uses the latest in card access technology from wiegand proximity readers to smart card readers and biometric readers which include fingerprint, hand geometry and facial recognition readers. Access Security has been installing access control and security systems in the Delaware Valley and Philadelphia metropolitan area for years with hundreds of satisfied clients.

Wiegand proximity readers are the most common type of readers found on the market today. These card readers are effective because they have no moving parts and come with a lifetime warranty. By simply holding a card or keytag up to the reader the system will either grant or deny access to the door. Each card or keytag has a unique card number encrypted into it. This number is read by the proximity reader and the information is sent to the control panel to decide whether to grant or deny access to the card holder. All of this processing takes place in under a second. If the card holder is granted access the system will release an electronic lock that is installed on the door which allows a person to enter. Each granted or denied access is recorded and allows you to run a history report on the actively of a single door or all of the doors in your system.

Access Security offers three types on access control systems. The first is a Client-Server based system. With this security system the control panels communicate back to a central server located in your building. To access and make changes to the system you go to a computer with the client software or the main server. Access Security offers AMAG Technology - Security Management Software for this security application solution. Click here for a brochure on AMAG.

The second type of access control system is a browser based system. With this system there is a main control panel that has an embedded operating system and a web server. You can access the system from any computer on the company's network using any internet browsing software. These systems allow much work flexibility on where you can access the security software. These systems also work for terminal server, Citrix, and MAC environments because there is no client software that needs to be installed. With the S2 product line Access Security also offers advanced security systems intergatopn. Access Security offers S2 Security products for this security application. Click here for a brochure on S2 Security.

The third type of access control system is a web-hosted security system. With this security system there is no local server or client. This system is hosted at a secure redundant data center. You are able to access these system from anywhere in the world with the proper username and log on. The benefit to these systems is all software updates are included and provided for you with no installation on your part, and system backups for disaster recovery are easily accessible and require no maintenance. Access Security offers Brivo Security Systems for this security application. Click here for a brochure on Brivo Security Systems.
